Located on a five acre campus in Oakland, Salem Lutheran Home has been serving seniors for over 75 years.
A continuing care retirement community that offers apartments, assisted living, skilled nursing and dementia care programs Salem Lutheran Home offers a variety of activities and services for residents.
Each month Friendship Foundation volunteers devote a Saturday morning to sharing their wonderful animals with seniors living in The Terrace, the dementia/memory loss section of the facility, and also with the patients in the skilled nursing unit. Our visits are always well received and many people cherish the opportunity to recall pleasant memories of their own pets.
